The wakeup call to action has existed since well before any of us were born, and it should have hit you in your teen years. Please note that both sides of the aisle are on full-tilt toward technocratic domination, and getting the left into office would have done NOTHING to slow the rulers in their efforts to attain it.
That said, we're done feeding the children of those who act pissy and petty with us just because they have crappy govt jobs for which they get paid peanuts. They know that they only have food and medicine and clothing and houses because WE make that possible for them. It makes them feel inferior, and they know the govt will keep stealing our wealth and handing it to them, so they take their bad self-feelings out on their betters. Typical envious jr higher stuff.
You say the cutting of govt jobs reduces productivity and causes brain drain?
ROFLMFAOOOoo
The opposite is true. Time to get real jobs where someone pays you for goods or services. Anyone making a living by her own business automatically outranks someone who works for another, regardless of how much either makes. Being dependent on the taxpayer teat only wears away at one's self respect. It's time to do better.
We clearly see the world differently. If business can do it, then it should. If it's in the public good and we need something other than a profit motive, then that's probably a good place for some government. It's not an either or situation. It's both and.
How you "see" (fantasize) the world to be is irrelevant. What's relevant is the way it really is.
Govt should not exist, as it can only exist upon theft and extortion, by definition.
Profit is a good thing. If someone works for no profit (of any kind, not just financial), then that person is working for free. Can you feed yourself with no money or food trade? No. Every good and service costs money unless someone wishes to gift something to you ..but they can *only do that after their own needs are met via "profit" in some form*.
Therefore, profits ARE people. Profit is good. Wealth is good (and is not made of money, but rather of the things money can buy). We can ALL be wealthy. It is our natural state. The planet is bountiful and humans are innovators. It is rulership standing in our way, playing middleman, stealing the spoils of our labor.
In capitalism/free market/anarchy, we each KEEP the spoils of our labor to do with as we wish.
People (like govt employees) who rely on others to have their needs met via stolen paycheck will *always* feel bad about themselves. The answer is for them to grow as people and take that leap of faith in themselves.
One good bit of news. The Trump administration jumped the shark yesterday. They just don't know it yet.
Why do I say that? I was on Facebook today. A high school classmate of mine (class of 72) and a longtinr friend has political posts. It's the first time I've seen either of them post anything political (although one posts about animal welfare).
What were the posts about? Both expressed solidarity with the Ukrainians. It wasn't about domestic policy or anything directly affecting them. It was about Ukraine.
If the news penetrated that far that fast ... Well I think I know what it means ...especially for female voters.
You’ve put the issues front and center Matt. For that I thank you. You are absolutely right that we are not living in a democracy where things work the same as they used to. We have to do all we can and more.
It’s inspiring to see people showing up but it is disheartening to have to do this on both the state and national level. We have to be very careful of burnout.
Thanks, Matt. No question this is real and right on track. The visage of chaos and buffoonery is part of the plan. The audacity. All of it. I keep calling our reps to do something which just seems pointless. They have all followed suit. What else should we do?
Keep making the calls. Watch for local actions where people are showing up to engage elected leaders. Keep sharing on social media. Make donations as you can. Find something to be hopeful about. Honor the grief you feel. All of this is how we save democracy. Any time you do any of this and so many more things to stay engaged, you are making a difference.

An important analysis. I moved our investments into less risky and more accessible funds in December. My advisor advised against it. I also told him that the stock market does better under Democratic presidents than Republican ones. He didn't know that, which isn't reassuring. https://theconversation.com/the-us-stock-market-does-better-under-democrat-presidents-than-republicans-heres-what-the-data-shows-246652
https://open.substack.com/pub/sharonlawrence/p/governing-trumps-vision-for-gaza?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android&r=a5esd. I think after people watch the video, which was posted by Trump on Truth Social, people should finally grasp what we're dealing with.
